MELBOURNE TERROR, AUSTRALIA LAW NEEDS TO BE OVERHAULED

Lindt Cafe terror cost two lives, four injured then the national security reviews, eventually, the slow reaction of police was the coroner’s conclusion. However, the radical tragedy comes from an irresponsible judge who granted the bail for a self-proclaimed Sheik Haron Monis, a man who had the history of violence and predatory sexual assaults plus a suspicious murder count.
Once again, on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, a terrorist Yacqub Khayre born in Mogadishu, 29 years old who held a female sex-worker as hostage at an apartment located on Bay Street, Brighton, Melbourne. Ultimately, the terrorist was shot dead, one man killed and three police officers injured. According to the anti-terrorist investigation code name NEATH of the Federal Law Enforcement Agencies, Yacqub Khayre linked to the terrorist organizations as Somalian-based al-Shabaab, actually the Islamic State. Nevertheless, in the passage of time, Police knew Yacqub Khayre became the extremist from 2008 after he attended at a Preston mosque then joined a terrorist group, they planned to storm the Holsworthy Barracks in Sydney, and the target is to kill as many soldiers as possible. Why didn’t the intelligence agencies and police prevent the terror before they act? It is the negative reaction of the security agencies.
Terrorist Yacqub Khayre, a Somalian refugee who came to Australia with family when he was 3 years old. In 2010 he was convicted 45 offenses including multiple burglaries, drug possession and served 2 years in a Youth Justice Center. Therefore the conspiracy of terror plot attack Army Base in Sydney was defused after Yacqub Khayre’s defense lawyer argued that the terror didn’t happen and a client was looking for religious enlightenment. The defendant’s lawyer did very good job for his client so a felon escaped the crimes and becomes the social threat in future. Lawyer earned money but people get killed, the justice will stay away if the legal practitioners would like to make profit.
The Café Lindt bail and now the Parole law applies that freed a felon Yacqub Khayre on November 2016 and he terrorized Australian people in Melbourne. The federal government, actually Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull questions the national parole law. While Victoria Premier Daniel Andrew has been criticized and calling resign.
The legal system in Australia being rotten and contained the loopholes. The law needs to be overhauled because the system is not suitable for the anti-terrorist war. Some law professors respect the justice and would not be a hard liner then the felons and terrorists will take advantage on the loop holes by using lawyers who work for profit to defend them. On the other hand, some innocent judges stand alongside with the dangerous elements as Haron Monis and  Yacqub Khayre could encourage the terror. The lawyers and judges have to concern the human life and the social safety first.
